Quilt Reveal: Pajamas Doll Quilt from High Road Quilter

It's time for another Project Quilting reveal! The challenge of this week is Wearables.

Your project must be wearable, or have been made from previously worn items, or have another connection to clothes, shoes and fashion accessories.

I gave myself two choices:

  1. Make a blouse that I have been planning to make for a very long time. I already have the pattern and the fabric chosen.
  2. Make a quilt out of all the pajamas I have been saving to make a quilt.
Since I hadn't made a blouse since high school, I didn't think I could handle ...

Quilt Reveal: Sonder from High Road Quilter

I made a terrible mistake the last time I presented my Project Quilting quilt. I wrote, out loud, that I had to go with the first idea that I came up with because I didn't have time for indecision. This was meant to be a guideline, not a rule. But it seems like my Idea Bank thought it was a free-for-all, and kept insisting on lots of unrealistic things for this week's challenge.

Ideas are like rabbits. You get a couple and learn how to handle them, and pretty soon you have a dozen.

The Jewel Heart Quilt Tutorial from Missouri Star Quilt Co.

Jenny Doan loves to quilt everywhere she goes: In the studio. On the couch. In waiting rooms and on long drives. (Can you relate?) Life is more fun with a needle and thread in tow!

The Jewel Heart Quilt Tutorial from Missouri Star Quilt Co.

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Jenny has whipped up a quilt-as-you-go heart quilt using fat quarters and the fabulous Jewel Template. Best of all, these pretty hearts can be sewn by machine or by hand!

Jewel Heart is a great project for long waits and nervous energy, and it makes such a sweet gift, too!

Pink Double 9-patch quilt is finished from Northern Deb Quilts

It's done!! And I love it❤
I finished this pink and blue Double 9-patch shirtings quilt today.
I used an older, stained dress shirt for the binding. Since we we're under "stay home" orders, I dug through my stash to find binding. This shirt just made it! I used the little "Polo" insignia so no fabric would go to waste and am glad I did. I love that it shows a shirt was used.
I've been collecting shirts for years. A local resale marks them down after a month of them not selling. Many times it's ...

Quilting, reading, relaxing.... from Northern Deb Quilts

Still quilting the quilt....
The weather has been SO wet lately...perfect quilting weather but it's also arthritis weather...so I quilt a bit then read a bit. And every so often I just get lost in memories. This quilt is full of them. Little pieces of Al's shirt, Lisa's dress, 80's and 90's fabrics that I never got around to using...or used and these are the leftovers.
Then there's pieces that Lisa bought me as a birthday present. Those were feedsacks. Some were REALLY tiny (but so CUTE) that I was only ...
